Official Bio
Thanks for stopping by! I'm the eponymous Mitch Wagner of mitchwagner.io, and I'm interested in a lot of things. History and futurology, philosophy and government, math, science and fantasy fiction, and a whole lot more. Basically, I love learning. So much so, in fact, that I'm currently a Master's student at Virginia Tech, studying computer science. This is quite convenient, because CS happens to be chock-full of interesting things to learn. At present, my favorite bits include algorithms, computer organization and systems, language theory, and machine learning. My current research is in network biology, which happens to tie a number of these things together.
Why the website?
This site is meant to give you a bit of an idea of what I'm up to these days, so please, take a look around! I'm easy to reach, so if you have any questions, are interested in my work, or would just like to get in touch, feel free to send a message my way.
Fun Facts
  • I am currently averaging around 7,000 steps a day.
  • I crunch numbers for Boinc. Apparently, quite a few of them.
  • I started growing plants. It's three years in and they seem to like me.
